The Real Reason Victor Wants Adam And Chelsea Together On Young and the Restless Dec. 27

On the December 27 episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor practically begged Chelsea to move into the old ranch house with Adam. While he clearly dislikes Sally, it’s a big surprise that he’s suddenly team Chelsea these days. Why does Victor want this pairing so badly?

Victor (Eric Braeden) always has something up his sleeve. He’s orchestrated it to where Adam (Mark Grossman) is running Newman Media, and Victor can have his son focus on the press that helps Newman Enterprises the most.

It’s in Victor’s best interest for Adam to be in a stable situation. For some reason, Victor believes that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) can help Adam keep it together. Perhaps it’s merely because she’s Connor’s (Judah Mackey) mother, so Adam could have his family together.

Of course, Victor’s pushing might also be related to Chelsea’s newfound maturity. He made a big point of talking to Chelsea about that, and she appreciated Victor noticing.

In the end, perhaps it’s as simple as the fact that Victor is trying to bring down the Abbotts. Billy (Jason Thompson) is an Abbott and was most recently Chelsea’s boyfriend. Victor dislikes Billy intensely, and ensuring he isn’t with Chelsea might help Victor get back at him. In fact, Victor is also trying to get Cole (J. Eddie Peck) firmly with Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Victoria is another person Billy tends to reunite with.
