The Great Victor Newman: How The Young and the Restless’s Power Player Stole the Spotlight in 2024

Victor Newman, the legendary “Mustache” of The Young and the Restless, proved once again why he’s the king of Genoa City in 2024. Just when fans thought Victor might be ready to slow down, he roared back with a storyline that left everyone buzzing.

The Mustache Rides Again

The drama began when Victor (Eric Braeden) uncovered a corporate conspiracy threatening Newman Enterprises. Refusing to let anyone undermine his empire, Victor orchestrated a series of brilliant power plays, outsmarting his adversaries at every turn. From secret boardroom meetings to a thrilling showdown with a rival CEO, Victor’s razor-sharp mind and unapologetic swagger reminded viewers why he’s the ultimate soap opera icon.

Taking on Jordan

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Victor Newman storyline without some serious drama. Aunt Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) grand plans to take down the Newmans had Victor diving into his old bag of tricks. He locked the baddie up in the basement dungeon and tormented her relentlessly until she begged for mercy. His iconic line, “Never forget who you’re dealing with,” became a rallying cry for fans who live for his commanding presence.

In the end, Victor’s dirty little secret is found out, and Jordan is sent away to a real prison (a big mistake, Huge). It wasn’t what Victor wanted. That man knows better. This isn’t his first rodeo with a supervillain. But, alas, it was let Jordan go or wind up behind bars himself.

You Got That?!

In the midst of all the Jordan drama was drunken Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Jack (Peter Bergman) relapsing together. If Victor didn’t despise Jack already, he certainly did after those shenanigans. The Mustache went full force into ruining Jack’s life…and he almost succeeded. And he’s still working on it.

We’re sure this rivalry will still be going strong in the new year. Victor warned Jack that he wasn’t done toying with him and that the best parts are yet to come. We can’t wait to see what Victor has up his sleeve!

More Thrilling Twists

Just when it seemed like Victor had secured victory, a shocking twist turned the storyline on its head. Jordan is back and teamed up with one of the biggest villains from Genoa City’s past. Now, they are threatening to unravel everything Victor’s worked for, including the family he strives to protect. Their underhanded antics are sending shockwaves through Genoa City and set the stage for an epic battle that promises to carry into 2025.

Victor Newman’s 2024 storylines proved why he remains the heart and soul of Y&R. Whether he’s scheming in the boardroom, standing tall for his family, or delivering those unforgettable one-liners, Victor is, and always will be, a force to be reckoned with. Fans wouldn’t have it any other way.
