Surprising Results
Surprise! The largest number of you, 43% to be exact, didn’t choose any particular triangle, but rather opted to vote that you hate love triangles! That’s a shockingly high number given the number of terrific love stories involving three people Y&R has told over the years!
In Second Place
The triangle of Phyllis/Billy/Victoria came in second with a solid 36% of your vote. Some viewers love the passion between Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson). Their desire to be together was so strong they broke Jack’s heart.
You also have a soft spot for Billy and Victoria (Amelia Heinle). They share two children (Johnny and Katie), are tied together at work, and Billy’s fond of stepson Reid, too. Which woman is Billy’s true love?
A Triangle Plus Two?
The trio that came next in your hearts is Mariah/Devon/Hilary with 11%. Devon (Bryton James) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) have been growing closer but this is one triangle that may evolve into a pentagon since the dynamic might need to include Noah (Robert Adamson), who’s dating Tessa (Cait Fairbanks).

And The Rest
Jack/Nikki/Victor, a triangle that dates back over 30 years, has recently been revived due to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) fighting again (still?).
This triangle earned 7%. It may need more substance to it for viewers to become more invested. When Jack (Peter Bergman) originally wed Nikki, it was to use her as leverage to for real. This time, the stakes aren’t ask high.
The story involving Lily/Cane/Juliet earned the lowest amount of votes, a mere 3%. It’s possible that this triangle didn’t receive support because viewers don’t see it as genuine.
Cane (Daniel Goddard) isn’t likely to ever see Juliet (Laur Allen) as a viable love interest over Lily (Christel Khalil). In fact, some viewers are wondering if her baby truly is Cane’s.
