Lily Brooks O’Briant is busy playing the rebellious teen Lucy on The Young and the Restless. But the actress pursues her other passion in her spare time: music. Recently, she shared some exciting news with her fans.
New Song And Album
On Tuesday, September 17, O’Briant announced via Instagram the release of her new single, “Hopeless Romantic.” The song is the first single from her upcoming album, scheduled for next week.
“‘Hopeless Romantic’ OUT NOW! BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!! Surprise! My new EP ‘Hopeless Romantic’ comes out next Friday, Sept 27th,” the actress wrote.
”This EP is something so incredibly special to me. Each & every one of these songs tells the story of a specific time, memory, or emotion I have experienced. I cannot wait for yall to hear each & every one of these songs. PRE SAVE NOW!!”
This will be the star’s 14th single, her first song “Slow” was released in 2022.
Praise And Congratulations
After unveiling her new song, the actress’ Instagram feed was filled with congratulatory comments and praise for her music.
“So lovely! Congratulations,” wrote one follower.

Life Not Imitating Art
While things are going well for O’Briant, the same can’t be said for her Y&R character Lucy. The teen has found herself in trouble recently with underage drinking and her car accident with Faith.
Despite efforts by Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Heather (Vail Bloom) to rein her in, Lucy continues to rebel and is increasingly infatuated with Faith. However, the young girl could change her attitude if she found something else to focus on, perhaps music.
