Things haven’t been the same since Rey Rosales tragically passed away on The Young and the Restless, but now he’s on The Bay. Luckily, actor Jordi Vilasuso has something great to celebrate today as he enjoys his special day.
Happy Birthday, Jordi Vilasuso
That’s because he was born on June 15, 1981, in Miami, Florida, which means that this talented performer is turning 42 years old today! Vilasuso’s earliest acting credits include the feature films The Last Home Run and Angels Don’t Sleep Here, as well as an episode of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.
In August of 2000, Vilasuso originated the role of Tony Santos on Guiding Light. During his time with the CBS soap, he won the 2003 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.
Between 2010 and 2011, Vilasuso played Griffin Castillo on All My Children. Four years later, he joined the cast of Days of our Lives where he played Dario Hernandez. Vilasuso’s exit in 2017 allowed him to originate the role of Rey Rosales on The Young and the Restless. He made his debut on August 17, 2018, and remained at the CBS soap until 2022, when Rey was killed during a car crash that was caused by his having had a heart attack.
Vilasuso’s other acting endeavors have included guest spots on 8 Simple Rules and Numb3rs, a recurring role in Fashion House, as well as roles in a number of films, including The Lost City, Ready or Not, Circle, and The Invitation.
Vilasuso has been married to actress Kaitlin Riley since August 25, 2012. Together the couple has welcomed three daughters: Riley Grace (born November 26, 2012), Everly Maeve (July 15, 2016), and Lucy Noelle (born December 31, 2023).
