Sharon’s Back On Young and the Restless On June 17, But What’s Wrong?

Stop the presses! Sharon showed up on The Young and the Restless on the Monday, June 17 episode, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Of course, she was quite the calm, cool, and collected Sharon we’ve all come to expect these past couple of years, and Nick noticed.

Medication Malfunction

Sharon (Sharon Case) was at Crimson Lights, and she gave Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) some advice about Connor (Judah Mackey). The teen had a breakthrough, and Sharon reminded the parents that they’d have ups and downs with Connor as he went through treatment. However, she noted that in the end, they’d be so glad they stuck with him through it.

After they thanked her, Sharon reminded the worried parents that they’d help somebody else later. “We all have to lean on each other. It’s the only way to get to the other side,” she said.

Things weren’t all sunshine and roses with Sharon, though. Nick (Joshua Morrow) showed up, and he heard her yelling at somebody on the phone. Yikes! After they talked a bit, Sharon admitted that her new bipolar medication was interfering with her sleep. Of course, she started taking it due to blood sugar issues, so the whole thing wasn’t going to be an easy fix.

Before they stopped talking, Sharon asked Nick for help on a project at Cassidy, and he was happy to do so. Is there something more going on with Sharon, or was this just a run-of-the-mill situation with her trying to tweak her medication and ensure he blood sugar stays under control?

It’s been a while since Sharon has had a front-burner storyline, and we are here for one. Could this little moment be the start of something bigger for Sharon? Or, is this the setup to celebrate Morrow’s upcoming 30th anniversary with Y&R on Friday’s episode? Whatever it is, we can’t help but hope it’s the beginning of a bit more Sharon on the soap.
