Sharon has been worrying her family on The Young and the Restless. Nick and Mariah are desperate to get to Sharon before she does something horrible. But what if their angst has been for nothing? What if Sharon has everything under control—and has from the very beginning?
Sharon (Sharon Case) gave us all a major clue last week when she had Dead and Bloody Cameron (Linden Ashby) vocalize that she knows he’s not a ghost but just a manifestation of her own inner thought process. Sharon isn’t having a psychotic break—she’s just talking to that voice in her head that we all have.
For Pinocchio, it was Jiminy Cricket. For Sharon, it’s a guy she killed. Hey, to each their own, we’re not here to judge!

And if Sharon knows Cameron isn’t real, then Sharon isn’t losing her mind. So why is she acting like she is? Because that’s what she wants people to think.
Well, not people in general. Sharon would have preferred it if Nick (Joshua Morrow), Mariah (Camryn Grimes), and Faith (Reylynne Caster) had just believed what she initially said and butted out. She was trying to protect them from worrying. It’s one of the reasons she left town and told them not to contact her. Because she’s got a plan brewing, and them charging up like the calvary to “save” her isn’t part of it.
So, what is Sharon’s plan? Why does she want the world to think she is losing her sanity? Not the world. Just Daniel. Sharon is faking losing her marbles, not because she wants to do something horrible to Daniel but because she wants Daniel to *think* she might do something horrible to him.
That terror is going to keep poking him and poking him until Daniel cracks and does something terrible to Sharon first. And then she’ll have him. Daniel will be put away for what he did to Sharon. And to Cassie. It’s all part of the long game here.
