The Real Reason Why Victor Is the Elon Musk of Young and the Restless

The two tycoons have everything in common.

The Young and the Restless Victor Newman, Elon Musk, and the Soap Hub logo.We see some similarities between Victor and Elon. Only one is the GOAT, though.

This week on The Young and the Restless, Nikki, Nick, Victoria, Adam, and Kyle have questioned Victor’s recent plans. They don’t seem to get it, but we think we have a real-life example of somebody who makes similar types of plans. They say everyone has a double, and we’ve figured it out: Victor Newman and Elon Musk are twinsies! Don’t believe us? Check out the evidence.

Family Man

Both Victor (Eric Braeden — who urged people to vote) and Elon love to talk at length about what great family men they are while taking turns ignoring and abusing their children. They remember they have them when they’re handy and forget they exist when they’re not.

Generation Gap

Both Victor and Elon are at the center of some very, very dysfunctional extended families. Elon’s father got his former stepdaughter pregnant. Victor was with Sharon (Sharon Case), his son, Nick’s (Joshua Morrow — who explained why he isn’t acting as Nick) ex-wife, and, at one point, he was married to his ex-wife’s husband’s sister.

We’re not even addressing Victor’s marriage to his daughter’s school friend or that two of his ex-wives were also once sleeping with his daughter’s husband. You get the idea.

Big Business

But here is the main thing Victor and Elon have in common. Both acquired media companies solely so they could drag their enemies.

Elon bought Twitter (and renamed it X, though nobody calls it that, not even him) and is now using it to elect candidates he believes will shape America the way he wants it to be.

Meanwhile, Victor removed Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) from her position as head of Newman Media and forced Adam (Mark Grossman) to take over the job because he – openly — intends to use the company to attack Jabot and Jack (Peter Bergman). He, of course, told Adam that he didn’t want to make it obvious. Adam promised he would make their coverage look “fair and balanced.” And then they both chuckled in a manly way that made it clear they know there is no such thing as an unbiased media company, so why should they pretend otherwise? Elon would approve.
