The most up to date soap opera ratings are in and there’s good news for The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. Both shows are seeing an increase in viewership.
According to a CBS press release, YR and BB both reached their biggest audiences since April 2020. “For the week ending Friday, Sept. 4, YR attracted 3.02 million viewers, and BB reached 2.71 million viewers – the largest audiences for both daytime dramas in almost five months, since the week ending April 24.”
What stories were driving the action last week? On The Young and the Restless, Noah (Robert Adamson) returned home to help support his mother Sharon (Sharon Case) through her cancer ordeal, butting heads with Adam (Mark Grossman) along the way.
Meanwhile, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) explored the possibility that there’s a familial connection between her and Devon’s late wife Hilary (also played by Morgan).
Additionally, Summer (Hunter King) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) let her parents, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) know that they were moving back in with one another. Also, Lola (Sasha Calle) and Theo (Tyler Johnson) talked about taking their new relationship one step at a time.
Meanwhile, on BB, newlyweds Shauna (Denise Richards) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) spent time together. Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) sparred. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), still in a great deal of pain from being hit by Bill’s (Don Diamont) car while riding her motorcycle, told her doctor, John “Finn” Finnegan, that she was out of pills.
Also, a romance started to blossom for Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Zoe (Kiara Barnes). While Zoe’s still hurting over being used by Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), she’s started to realize that Carter’s nothing like her former fiancé. The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
