Pretty Little Liars Mandi Line Joins Young and the Restless As New Costume Designer

Mandi Lane will be styling the cast of The Young and the Restless.

The Young and the Restless continues to step up the glamour. That happened during the show’s 13,000th episode and Abby and Devon’s wedding. Now, the show has tapped Mandi Line as the new costume designer.

Who Is Mandi Line?

Y&R has welcomed award-nominated costume designer Mandi Line to its crew. Line is best known for her work on Pretty Little Liars. She’s also responsible for dressing the casts of Death and Other Details, Shameless, and The Bold Type. Her work will be unveiled on the Monday, November 18th episode.

Line graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). Shortly after, she started her costume design career on independent movies, music videos, and red-carpet events. Line’s impressive Hollywood clientele includes Kirsten Dunst and Mandy Moore.

She was then tapped to join ABC Family’s hit shows Greek and Pretty Little Liars. Line’s other television credits include FOX’s BH90210, CW’s Charmed, and Lifetime’s Unreal pilot episode. She’s also designed for 26 movies and has been featured in countless fashion publications.

Bringing the Glamour to Daytime

It’s hard to believe that Line has never worked on a soap, but she already knows how to bring drama. Line shared how she first found out about the news that she’s joining Y&R.

“There was one world in 30 years of my career I hadn’t conquered, and that was soaps!” Lane exclaimed. “When I got the call, I thought, ‘Yep! This is where I was meant to be.'”

She teased about her first fitting for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Line felt “at home” on the soap. She revealed that she is “excited and grateful” to see what she’ll bring to the rest of the cast. We’re just as excited about this news.
