On the December 19 episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis went on and on to Daniel about how she needs…she needs…she needs…something. And we’re afraid we now know what it will be.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) can’t be happy unless she’s obsessing over… something. When we first met her almost 40 years ago, she was obsessed with Danny (Michael Damian). Seriously obsessed. As in lying about her son’s paternity, drugging people, and even killing people to get the man she wanted. She did for a while. Until she didn’t anymore.

Most recently, Phyllis obsessed over Diane (Susan Walters). Seriously obsessed. As in faking her own death and leaving her children to mourn her, then killing a guy just to frame Diane for Phyllis’ murder. Yeah, that obsessed.
When Phyllis’ plan failed to break up Diane and Jack (Peter Bergman), Phyllis shifted the hot ire of her obsession to Sharon (Sharon Case). Sharon killed Heather (Vail Bloom)! Sharon tried to run Phyllis off the road! Who cares if it’s true? Phyllis is obsessed!

Phyllis already remembered that Sharon isn’t the one who caused her accident and coma. When she finds out that Sharon may not have killed Heather, either, Phyllis is going to be at loose ends.
She’s going to need something/someone else to obsess over. And based on her conversation with Daniel on December 19, we think we know who her obsession will be.
Phyllis’ new passion will be Billy (Jason Thompson). She will be determined to help him regain the family company he should have had. And you know who is standing in Billy’s way? Why, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), of course! Phyllis said as much to Daniel. Phyllis will now focus on Nikki and ruining her reign at Chancellor. For Billy’s sake, of course.
