Summer had the audacity on the September 25 The Young and the Restless to suggest her mom had an overly high opinion of her mothering skills. She was rewarded with a lecture from Phyllis about how, yes, as a matter of fact, Phyllis was the best mom in Genoa City.
Not only did Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) do a spectacular job raising her children, but unlike some lazy parents, she didn’t stop once they were adults. She didn’t step back and let them live their own lives. That’s for losers. Phyllis is a winner. That’s why she will continue giving her children the greatest gift — Phyllis’s non-step presence. Just wait and see what she does next!
Super Girl, Super Mom
Sure, Phyllis broke Summer’s (Allison Lanier) heart when she faked her death over a year ago. But Phyllis did Summer a favor. Summer was pulling away from her mother. Thinking Phyllis was dead brought them closer together. Eventually.
And now, Phyllis is ready to do even more for her Supergirl. Poor Summer is so sad about not being able to spend more time with Harrison (Redding Munsell). The way to fix that is to reunite her with Kyle (Michael Mealor). And the way to reunite Summer with Kyle is to remove all obstacles. Like Audra (Zuleyka Silver). And Claire (Hayley Erin). And Chance (Conner Floyd). Yeah. Phyllis can take care of that.
Baby Boy
Phyllis didn’t even raise Daniel (Michael Graziadei) for most of his childhood. Danny (Michael Damian) wisely thought that wouldn’t be good for his son.
But, no worries, Phyllis will make up for that oversight now. Not only will she hand her brilliant son a job, but she will make sure his life is nothing but a tiptoe through the tulips. The only person standing in the way of Daniel and total happiness is Sharon (Sharon Case). Yeah. Phyllis can take care of that. She is such a great mom!
