The Young and the Restless suggests Sharon will be at the center of a grim murder. But whatever happens next could bring Sharon and Phyllis together. How remains to be seen.
Sharon (Sharon Case) has been off her bipolar medication. She’s been encouraged by Cameron (Linden Ashby) in her head that she should murder Daniel (Michael Graziadei) for what happened to Cassie (Camryn Grimes).
Sharon hasn’t come to terms with the immense grief, pain, and anger that she feels over her daughter’s fatal accident. She took it one step further when she tried to poison Daniel’s whiskey at his apartment. Sharon was then caught by his wife Heather (Vail Bloom).

After she argued with Heather, Sharon suffered from a series of blackouts. During these lapses in time, she does things she doesn’t mean to do. For instance, she seemingly knocked out Heather. Then, she dragged her body into her car and brought it somewhere.
This isn’t the only shocking thing that happens. In his interview with Soap Opera Digest, EP/head writer Josh Griffith says her revenge plot will reach a “boiling point.” Sharon will continue to push herself to extremes.
She’s still reeling from the pain and guilt of Cassie’s death. So, in her mind, she’s “doing what needs to be done.” Sharon’s psyche is also at war with her new medication and Cameron egging her to go to the dark side with him.
This could lead to some more twists and turns. These upcoming events won’t just affect Sharon. They could also bind her to her archenemy, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
“A series of shocking events will further connect Sharon to Daniel’s family, including Phyllis. The years of hurt feelings and anger between these characters will reach a boiling point and take everyone on an unexpected ride,” Griffith teased.
Phyllis is no saint. She faked her own death. Of course, Heather is Phyllis’ son, Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) girlfriend and her granddaughter Lucy’s (Lily Brooks O’Briant) mother figure. So, it seems unlikely she’ll empathize with what Sharon did. In fact, you’d think she’d be out for Sharon’s blood.
Of course, there’s a possibility that something else happened, and if Sharon’s family finds out she didn’t kill Heather and is hallucinating, she will need support. This could come from an unlikely ally. After all, when Sharon had breast cancer, Phyllis stood by her. Will we see their unlikely friendship grow when this situation wraps up?
