Phyllis is devastated to learn that her son’s partner was killed on The Young and the Restless. Heather? Right? Was that her name? The more important thing to remember is that she was Phyllis’ son’s partner and Phyllis’ granddaughter’s mother. So, this is an injustice that must not be swept under the rug! It took Phyllis only a few minutes on the October 7 episode for her to go from “Daniel is hurting” to “I’m hurting.” So, we know who the primary victim is in this crime. Luckily, Phyllis knows what she needs to do. And who she has to get to do it.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) figured they’d get white glove treatment now that Chance (Conner Floyd) is on the case since Chance is also sleeping with Daniel’s sister, Summer (Allison Lanier).
Summer seemed less sure. This is why we suspect that when the case doesn’t go the way Phyllis wants it to, Phyllis will decide Summer isn’t, um…encouraging her man, right? What does Summer know? She’s such a child! Let Mommy show you Supergirl how it’s done!

Phyllis knows who has to be responsible for Heather’s (Vail Bloom) death. It has to be Sharon (Sharon Case). Who else could it be? How can everyone not see that?
Most importantly, how can Chance not see that? Why isn’t Summer making it clear to him? If it were Phyllis…well, why shouldn’t it be Phyllis? Phyllis will take Chance in hand and lead him to the obvious conclusion regarding Heather’s death.
And everybody knows that the best way to make a man see things your way is to get him to fall in love with you. That should be simple. Everyone in Phyllis’ orbit is already half in love with her. She just needs to nudge Chance the rest of the way. Summer will understand. It’s for Daniel. After all, if he’s hurting, then Phyllis is hurting. Summer wouldn’t want her mother to her, would she? Well, this is how we kill two birds with one stone!
