Will Sharon fall for Nick or Adam?
Nick was most displeased on the November 27 episode of The Young and the Restless to find out that Adam had reached out to Sharon and offered his sympathies. After all, Nick had told Adam not to. Like Victor, Nick expects to be listened to when he makes demands. But Adam is also a Newman. And he knows how not to listen to things he doesn’t want to hear. Besides, he has a lot to offer Sharon. A lot more than Nick does, anyway. Here’s why he’s the Newman brother that Sharon may end up wanting more.
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Adam (Mark Grossman) have been a couple before. More than once. Sure, they have little hiccoughs to overcome — like the time Adam kidnapped newborn Faith (Reylynn Caster) and passed her off to Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) daughter, letting Sharon think her baby had died. But she’s forgiven him for it. Or, at least, learned to overlook it. (She certainly did a better job overlooking that than she did Daniel’s role in Cassie’s [Camryn Grimes] death.)

Sharon proved there were no hard feelings when she helped Connor (Judah Mackey) with his mental health struggles and helped Adam process Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) issues, too. The two do understand each other. As Adam brought up earlier in the week, he knows what it’s like to be responsible for someone else’s death. More than one someone. And in more than one way. Adam doesn’t judge Sharon, and he doesn’t ask her to beg for his sympathy. She already has it.

But the main reason we might see a Shadam reunion has less to do with Adam and more to do with Sharon. She hates herself. She wants to be punished. It’s why she confessed. Sharon doesn’t think she’s good enough for Nick (Joshua Morrow) after what she’s done. But Adam? Eh, Sharon and Adam are two peas in a pod. They deserve each other. Will it happen?
