Young and the Restless’ Michelle Stafford Shares Phyllis’ Real Thoughts About Sharon

Sharon and Phyllis have a long-spanning feud that goes way back to their younger days. It had something to do with a handsome man named Nick Newman. The two have tried to be civil, but it hasn’t always been easy. The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford admitted that Sharon is “not a saint.” She revealed how Phyllis still feels about her archnemesis. 

Going Toe-to-Toe With Sharon

Phyllis is not going down without a fight. She has a weird feeling about Sharon’s (Sharon Case) conversation with Heather (Vail Bloom) on the night she died. In an interview with Soaps.com, Stafford addressed the bad blood between Sharon and Phyllis.

Despite Phyllis’s hard exterior, Stafford said Phyllis still has “a lot of underlying guilt about how everything went down.” She had an affair with Nick (Joshua Morrow) while he was married to Sharon. It was bad enough that Phyllis was the new girl in town.

Stafford can sense the animosity between Phyllis and Sharon. Phyllis knows Sharon isn’t the “saint” she portrays herself as. This is especially the case as Sharon grapples with the aftermath of Heather’s murder. Stafford gave Y&R viewers a harsh reminder about Sharon’s past. 

“Remember, Sharon’s the reason Phyllis fell down the stairs and spent a year in a coma!” the soap star explained. Phyllis wants Sharon to take accountability for her actions. Stafford recalled that “everybody just moved on” from that moment.

What Will Phyllis Do Next?

Phyllis will not let her son Daniel (Michael Graziadei) be whisked off to prison. She’s not going to sit there silently. She hopes she can get through to Nick before it’s too late.

Phyllis could become the next person on Sharon’s hit list. It’s bad enough that she’s off her meds and is still out for revenge. Instead of aiming for Daniel, she could target his mother instead.
