Michelle Stafford is the opposite of her The Young and the Restless character Phyllis. However, a recent visit to the store and seeing holiday decorations had the actress showing off a fiery attitude.

Key Takeaways

  • Stafford is preparing for her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.
  • The actress was annoyed by the lack of Thanksgiving decorations during a trip to a crafts store.
  • Her character, Phyllis, has a lot to be thankful for this year.

Thanksgiving Love

The holiday season is upon us, with Halloween a few days away. Afterwards, it’ll be Thanksgiving and Christmas that many people will be celebrating. Stores are already getting a head start in putting out the Christmas decorations, skipping over Thanksgiving.

One person who is upset with the lack of love for Thanksgiving is Stafford. On Instagram, the actress documented her recent visit to a craft store, where there was a lack of Thanksgiving-themed items. “I’m at Michael’s, and look at that,” Stafford panned to the shelves filled with Christmas ornaments. “Christmas already.”

The actress lucked up in finding some fall decor that was already on sale. “Nobody cares about Thanksgiving,” she huffed while browsing the items, which included a turkey drumstick headband. Stafford’s shopping expedition continued with her stumbling upon many Elf on the Shelf items. “No, no,” the actress exclaimed while wearing a turkey hat.

“I’m celebrating Thanksgiving,” Stafford declared. “I care; I care about Thanksgiving. I will be celebrating,” the actress smiled while walking around in her turkey cap.

What Phyllis Has to Be Thankful For?

Thanksgiving will soon arrive in Genoa City, with everyone gathering around the table expressing what they’re thankful for. Phyllis had a tough year, but there’s plenty for her to be grateful for.

The number one thing is she’s still alive. She and Sharon (Sharon Case) faced danger when they were held captive by Martin (Christopher Cousins). Luckily, the two were rescued by Billy (Jason Thompson) and Nick (Joshua Morrow), as a gas leak had almost taken them out.

Another thing Phyllis is grateful for is her kids. Her son Daniel (Michael Graziadei) faced possible prison time after being framed for Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder. But once the truth about Heather’s death was revealed, Daniel was cleared and is a free man.

While Phyllis will get to spend Thanksgiving with Daniel, there will be one person missing. Her daughter Summer (Allison Lanier). Earlier this year, Summer relocated to Milan to work for Marchetti. Although Summer’s move was hard on Phyllis, things are going well for her daughter, who has a new man in her life.

Things have taken a positive turn in Phyllis’ life, too, and she has much to be grateful for. However, that might change with her recent business dealings, following her theft of Cane’s (Billy Flynn) AI program. With Phyllis now in control, many of Genoa City’s top executives will try to tear her down.
