Melody Thomas Scott celebrates 45 years.
Not only is Melody Thomas Scott playing the heck out of her current storyline on The Young and the Restless, but also the actress is celebrating a big milestone. She’s celebrating her 45th anniversary in Genoa City, having made her debut on the show back in 1979.
Who better than Thomas’s TV son, Joshua Morrow (Nicholas), to get the word out on how everyone at Y&R feels about Thomas Scott and her accomplishment of playing Nikki for four and a half decades?
“To my mama, Melody Thomas Scott, celebrating a huge, huge, huge anniversary, an absolute icon on this show,” enthused Morrow, who is wearing a black t-shirt (with the sleeves cut off) featuring six glamor shots of his fabulous co-star.
“What better way to celebrate,” Morrow continued, “than with these incredible t-shirts looking at all your best looks. We love you. The whole world loves you, and you deserve everything. Love you, Mama.” As you can see in the video in the post below, several other cast members are wearing the specialized t-shirts: Amelia Heinle, who plays Victoria, Nikki’s daughter, Melissa Ordway, who plays Nikki’s stepdaughter Abby, Mark Grossman, who plays Nikki’s stepson Adam, Hayley Erin, who plays Nikki’s discovered granddaughter Claire, and Eric Braeden, who portrays Nikki’s husband held up the tee. Over the years, fans have watched Nikki go from stripper to becoming Victor’s wife to his ex-wife and wife again (and again!) The heroine has battled alcoholism, been diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis), and has survived being shot. As she once lay between life and death, Nikki found the will to live by once again becoming Mrs. Victor Newman.
