Everything is going peacefully for Melissa Ordway’s character, Abby, on The Young and the Restless. The Newman heiress is happily married to Devon and busy raising their son, Dominic. But if the show needs a new storyline for Abby, the actress has the perfect idea.
Another Baby For Dabby?
After enduring drama and heartache, Abby’s finally found happiness. Her friendship with Devon (Bryton James) turned to romance and later marriage. Following their wedding last year, the couple is still in wedded bliss.
So what’s the next step for the newlyweds?
Well, if Ordway and fans have their way, Abby and Devon’s family could be growing again. The couple is already parents to Dominic, but it might be time to give him a sibling.
During a recent Q&A on her Instagram story, a fan wrote that they’d love to see Abby and Devon have another child, and hopes it would be a girl. Ordway approved of the idea, replying, “Me too!”
With Ordway on board, it’s up to the showrunners to decide if Dabby needs another baby.
But Abby and Devon’s Journey to add to their family won’t be without problems. As Y&R fans will remember, during Abby and Chance’s (Conner Floyd) marriage, she learned she wouldn’t be able to carry a child. Chance also discovered that he couldn’t father any children. But with the help of Devon and Mariah (Camryn Grimes), they were able to make their parenthood dreams come true.
Abby will have to use a surrogate if she and Devon have another child. But there’s also the possibility that the writers give Abby a miracle pregnancy and baby.
Either way, fans and Ordway would love to see another bundle of joy for Dabby. Maybe this time they’ll have a little princess to carry on the Winters/Newman/Abbott dynasties.
