Melissa Claire Egan has been expertly playing out the drama of her The Young and the Restless character, Chelsea. Outside of that, a lot of her spare time is devoted to her family, and she recently shared some wonderful news with her fans on social media.
Brimming with excitement, Egan took to Instagram to happily post the latest news about her family. She shared a photo of a cute little doggie, and wrote, “Meet Bailey Katrosar! We are insane for rescuing a puppy while having a baby and a toddler, but we love her and here we are!!” She thanked the dog rescue and rehome service, Wagmor, and Melissa Bacelar who helped facilitate the adoption.
Despite being extremely busy, and still heartbroken over the loss of their other dog, Sophia, she and her family forged onward even though they weren’t sure if they were prepared for another pet. “But when are you ever ready [am I] right?!” she stated, adding that they weren’t looking for an exact copy of their previous pooch, and one dog they had their eyes on had already been sent to a new home.
Egan wrote about a surprise encounter, explaining, “Then this sweet girl came up to us when we went into the room of pups. She looked so much like Soph and we felt she sent her to us. Welcome to the family, Bailey!”
Her castmates dove right in to send their well-wishes, with Courtney Hope (Sally) replying, “The sweetest 😍.”
Kate Linder (Esther) wrote, “Fabulous!”
Tracey Bregman (Lauren) chimed in with, “Congrats!! Sophia def sent her. So sweet ❤️✨🐕❤️.”
The fans also shared lots of love and congratulations. One responded with the deep, metaphysical comment, “You have a soul contract and your Soph did her work to bring Bailey to you that’s how it works even before they leave us they are bringing you your next love ❤️.” Another follower spoke for many by responding, “Let the rescuing and healing of your hearts begin.”
Congratulations, Melissa Claire Egan! (Find out more about the drama in Chelsea’s life.)
