Adam Newman doesn’t always display his true feelings on The Young and the Restless. However, his portrayer, Mark Grossman, is opening up about the death of a dear pal. The two men had known each other for quite some time and shared a mutual love of dirt bike riding.
The Daytime Emmy-nominated actor posted on Instagram a tribute to his late pal, Colin Morrison, with whom he shared a love of dirt biking. “Colin, we’ve been friends since grade school,” Grossman wrote. “Some of my greatest memories are with you – running around Cave Creek and Scottsdale with all the guys, cramming three dirt bikes in the back of your truck to go race in Texas and Oklahoma, countless hours of riding and laughing, and so much more.
“After all these years and living in different states now, you were always there. Planning get-togethers, checking in on birthdays, or just to say hi and talk about life and our love of motorcycles,” the actor continued. “You were always a great friend. No matter how much time had passed since we talked, we always picked right back up where we left off.
“We just spoke about you coming to California for us to ride together for old times’ sake,” Grossman emotionally shares. “Well, I’ll see you again someday, my brother, and we’ll go on that ride. Rest in peace, Colin. #822forever.”
What’s the significance of the No. 822? As you can see in the photos in Grossman’s post above, that number was on Colin’s riding jacket and bike.
The actor’s co-stars offered their condolences. “I’m so sorry Mark,” posted Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea). Jason Thompson (Billy), Lauralee Bell (Christine), and Christian Le Blanc (Michael) also chimed in with supportive messages.
Soap Hub sends Mark Grossman deep condolences on the loss of his friend.
