Recently, on The Young and the Restless, Nick has been concerned about Sharon’s erratic behavior. His portrayer, Joshua Morrow, who just celebrated 30 years at the soap, recently revealed his surprising thoughts on the endgame for “Shick.”
Morrow appeared on Michael Fairman TV recently, and he discussed a possible reunion for Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick. Morrow said, “I don’t see them just being together forever, always happy and perfect. I just don’t.”
Of course, he pointed out why that is. “They’ve got problems. Yes, they’re each other’s first love. They’re each other’s true love. They met each other when they were kids. So, you have all these life experiences that happen. You have all the things they did to each other that affects who they are as people going forward.”
Obviously, Morrow isn’t entirely opposed to a reunion for Sharon and Nick, though. “If the show tells me, ‘Yes! You’re going to end up with Sharon till the end of your career,’ If that’s what you want, then do it. But, I don’t know if that’s viable.”

Part of the problem with “Shick” was visible on the July 19 episode of Y&R when Sharon went to Society and saw Nick dining with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). They quickly let Sharon know that their eating together was co-parenting related and not romance related.
Still, Nick’s relationship with Phyllis is an ongoing problem for Sharon. Morrow explained, “Nick has this problem, and it’s a good problem, but it is Phyllis. She has carved out a huge piece of his heart. I know the ‘Shick’ people do not like hearing that, but it is the truth. This woman has a hold of Nick, and it is never going to go away, and that’s a problem that Nick has. When he’s with one of them, he still always has a place with the other one. I know they don’t like hearing it, but it is just the truth. I know there’s a whole group of people out there that think I have a lot of say (re: storyline) in it, too. I have zero say for the millionth time.”
Morrow did leave “Shick” fans with a bit of hope, though. “It’s a soap opera. Nick, of course, will end up with Sharon again at some point. I don’t know when it is, but it is definitely coming at some point. How long that lasts, I don’t know.”
