Jordan told Ian a lie in the January 6 episode of The Young and the Restless. Was it step one in her plot to do things her own way?
Fool Me Twice…I’m Good at This
It’s not that we’re surprised by Jordan (Colleen Zenk) lying to Ian (Ray Wise). Lying is the one thing Jordan does well. She lied to Claire (Hayley Erin) her entire life. She lied to the Newmans. (She also tried to kill them…that she did less well.) It’s what she lied to Ian about that intrigues us.

Trade Routes
Ian told Jordan to dump Sharon’s (Sharon Case) body at the bottom of the river. (Considering how easily Heather [Vail Bloom] was found, we’re guessing he doesn’t care whether she surfaces or not.)
And Jordan told him she did it. Well, she told him, “Sharon is where she’s supposed to be.” A lie of omission. And, also, a big, fat lie. Why? Instead, Jordan left Sharon chained up in what looked like a similar area where Cameron (Linden Ashby) was killed.
Insurance Policy
It’s been clear for a few days now that Jordan no longer trusts Ian to put his interests above her own. (We’re not sure why she ever trusted him to do that.) So if Ian blows it, Jordan needs some insurance from the Newman family. They won’t harm her as long as she’s got their precious Sharon. (Does Jordan know how much Nikki [Melody Thomas Scott] loathes Sharon? Hopefully, Nikki won’t be in charge of hostage negotiations for Sharon.) If Ian is going down, he’s not taking Jordan with him. Sharon will make certain of that.
If Nikki doesn’t negotiate, she’s betting Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) will. If not for Sharon’s sake, then for Faith (Reylynne Caster), Noah (Rory Gibson), and Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes). Jordan doesn’t care who or why. All she cares about is staying out of prison. The better to…uh…reconnect with her beloved niece.
