Claire was certainly playing all the angles on the Wednesday, January 22 episode of The Young and the Restless, wasn’t she? She told Nikki and Victoria that she wanted to kill Jordan. She told Jordan that she wanted to kill Victoria. So which part is the truth? How about all of it…and none of it…?
Act One
Y&R viewers first met Claire (Hayley Erin) as the most efficient assistant Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) ever had. She was smart and capable. Next, we found out she was also a psychotic schemer, raised by her demented aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) to destroy the Newman family.
Following that, she was a sweet and confused patient in a mental hospital, and, most recently, she’s the shy, inexperienced virgin swept off her feet by dashing Kyle (Michael Mealor), a girl who never had any friends or relationships, despite having presumably been to college and business school, away from Jordan’s control. Wow, that’s a lot of personalities stuffed inside of a single body. How can we know which one is legit?

Never Again
What if the answer is…none of them? What if Claire is neither sweet nor innocent nor, most importantly, crazy? Or, more likely, crazy like a fox?
What if the real lesson Claire took away from Jordan was how to manipulate everyone around you to get what you want, by becoming whomever they wanted you to be? What if she’s been the real chess-master all this time?

Meet Cute
Jordan and Ian (Ray Wise) keep saying that they just happened to bump into each other randomly, hit it off, and came up with a vindictive plan against the good people of Genoa City. But what if it wasn’t random? What if Claire made it happen?
What if she manipulated these two psychos into thinking it was their idea to come to town and go after everyone that Claire wants gone, too? After all, if the Newmans are decimated, Claire will be the only one left standing. With all that lovely money. And no one she needs to share it with.
