Jack Or Ashley? Who Will Win Control Of Jabot On The Young and the Restless?

Jack and Ashley Abbott have a history of fighting for control of their family business, Jabot Cosmetics on The Young and the Restless. Jack recently stepped down as company leader in order to take care of his mother Dina, who’s been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

But Jack couldn’t stay away for long and now the battle for Jabot is back on! Which sibling is going to win control of the cosmetics empire? It could go either way.

“As Jack sees it, there’s nothing to talk about here,” Peter Bergman (Jack) told Soap Opera Digest in its December 25 issue. “He’s run Jabot with everything going very well. Yes, it’s been difficult balancing his mother at home with his responsibilities at Jabot, but Jack’s been in far worse difficult situations.”

Family members will be torn as to which Abbott sibling to give their vote. Billy won’t want to risk alienating his brother further while Abby is torn between voting for her mother (Ashley, played by Eileen Davidson) and her uncle.

Jack’s been known to get down and dirty when it comes to running Jabot.

He once threatened Ashley with telling John that he wasn’t her father unless she stepped down! Well, that’s a moot issue now (John is gone, and everyone now knows Ash’s dad is the late Brent Davis).

According to Digest, Jack will stack the deck in his favor by adding Phyllis to the board, but Ashley counters by noting that Jack’s had some less-than-stellar days running the company.

Bergman teased to that magazine that there’s a wildcard vote that no one is anticipating. “There’s another board member, who’s not there and who Jack thought was going to be silent, but a vote is cast from a distance.”
