Sure, there’s a heatwave sweeping across the country, but did we just witness things getting “Chily” on The Young and the Restless? Recently, Chance came to Lily to discuss the latest corporate catastrophe at Chancellor-Winters, the company where Chance is now working, doing…something? Did we see a spark of the romantic variety? Would that be good for Genoa City?
Separate Lives
Lily (Christel Khalil) and Chance (Conner Floyd, who spilled some epic BTS secrets) have never had much reason to cross paths before. Lily was involved with Cane (Daniel Goddard), who once tried to pass himself off as the real Phillip. Then, Lily was involved with Billy (Jason Thompson), an Abbott. Chance, for his part, was married to Abby (Melissa Ordway), then jumped into bed with Summer (Allison Lanier), both Newmans.
Lily was a model turned jailbird turned corporate titan. Chance was a secret agent turned cop turned…something corporate. Chance is actually a Chancellor, so working at Chancellor-Winters made some sense. Lily is a Winters, but she started working at Chancellor before the two companies were connected. Jill (Jess Walton) just handed her the position. Because…reasons. Even when they were working at the same place, Lily and Chance had little to do with each other. So what changed?
Chemistry Test
Nothing, really. Chance just dropped by with a few questions. But was he flirting with Lily? Was she flirting back? Something was happening.
Lily is currently single. Chance is, technically, with Summer. But the only time we’ve seen them together in weeks, they seem somewhat disconnected. Each is worried about their own lives. Has one either mentioned the other outside of their brief meetings?
We’re not getting a hot and heavy vibe. Chance could cheat on Summer, we suppose. But since we’re not invested in that relationship, is it worth the bother? Better for him to break it off with Summer and see what happens with Lily. It could be good for his career. And for his lack of airtime. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
