Is Nina Coming Back To Young and the Restless? Tricia Cast Sparks Speculation

Tricia Cast has been playing Nina on The Young and the Restless on and off since 1986. Although Nina has left Genoa City, the author has often returned to visit family and friends. And if recent speculation is true, the character could be making another return soon.

Instagram Post Hints At Nina’s Return

After playing Nina full-time for 15 years, Cast left Y&R in 2001 when she decided to move from California to Tennessee. However, she was always willing to return to the soap opera when needed.

In recent years, Nina’s return has been centered around her son Chance (Conner Floyd) or her friend Christine (Lauralee Bell). Her last appearance came in November 2023 when Chance was shot in the line of duty. The character might be gearing up for another Genoa City return a year after her last visit.

Recently, Cast sparked rumors of a Nina return with an Instagram post. The actress posted a photo of her shadow in a parking lot. “My California shadow. I recognize this shape!” she captioned the picture.

The comment section was flooded with speculation about a Y&R return.

“Hope to see you on Y&R soon,” wrote one fan.

“Tricia & CA=Nina? Or just visiting old friends?” asked a commenter.

“Hope you’re making an appearance as Nina soon to check up on Chance!” another fan wrote.

There has been no confirmation of Nina’s return, but the character was mentioned in the October 25 episode. During a conversation with Chance, Christine said his mother wasn’t happy about him returning to the police force. Although this might not mean anything, it could also signal Nina’s return.

Nina’s possible return will come as Chance is Genoa City’s most hated person after arresting Daniel (Michael Graziadei) for Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder. Although Nina supports her son, she might disagree with him.
