On the March 12 episode of The Young and the Restless, Adam insisted on heading to Las Vegas with Nick to help out Reza from his criminal days. Nick was worried it would cause his little brother to backslide into the man he once was. Can we hope that’s the case?
Key Takeaways
- Adam used to be dynamic and interesting.
- Adam is now domesticated and boring.
- Adam could go back to his old self.
The Man I Used To Be
When Adam (Mark Grossman) returned to Genoa City in 2019, he had an edge. He was edgy, unpredictable, and dangerous. We watched him challenge Nick (Joshua Morrow, who had this to say about his career highlight), mouth off to Victor (Eric Braeden), tantalize Sharon (Sharon Case), and, eventually, fall truly in love with Sally (Courtney Hope).
Along the way, there was drama with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) over Connor (Judah Mackey), and friction with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). But then Adam gave Faith (Reylynn Caster) a kidney, and he reunited with Chelsea, becoming boring in the process.
Back to Before
But with Adam insisting on accompanying Nick to Las Vegas to find the Reza who might know about Matt (Roger Howarth), and Chelsea worrying that it will bring back his Spyder persona, we can only hope that it will. And we’ll get our intriguing Adam back. We’d love to see him reclaim a little of his dark side.
With Victor acting like a lunatic, it’s the ideal time for Adam to exploit and outsmart his father. And his and Chelsea’s relationship could use some friction. Though the idea of ex-con Chelsea clutching her pearls over Adam’s past is amusing, to say the least.
But the past we really want to see resurrected is Adam’s love for Sally. That’s when he was at his best. And we’ll take anything that will send them both back down that path.
