How Jack Could Punish Kyle After October 10 Young and Restless

Kyle has often been spoiled, entitled, and smug on The Young and the Restless. But, up until the October 10 episode, he was doing it within normal parameters. He was no worse than Victoria or Nicholas and no different than Billy.

Now, however, Kyle has a new high in new lows. He actually committed a crime to please Victor…and screw over his own family. Jack gave him a talking-to. But here is what he can do to punish his son, who believes he can do no wrong (while mooching off his family’s money and living under their roof).

No Son of Mine

Jack (Peter Bergman) could have disowned Kyle (Michael Mealor) the first time he tried to undermine Jabot on Victor’s (Eric Braeden) behalf. Or the second. But Jack didn’t. He gave his beloved son chance after chance to straighten out and fly right.

But Kyle took Jack’s generosity as a sign that his father was weak and would continue to keep allowing Kyle to walk all over him. Well, three strikes, and you’re out, Ky-Ky.

The Replacements

A big part of Kyle’s arrogance comes from his conviction that Jack has no other options for an heir. Kyle’s big brother, Keemo, was estranged from their dad for decades. And now he’s dead.

Keemo’s daughter, Allie (Kelsey Wang) was Jack’s favorite for a few months, but then she took off for Paris with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), and hasn’t been heard from since. Kyle’s son, Harrison (Redding Munsell), is a bit young to be handed the reins of running a company, so what’s Jack going to do? It’s Kyle or bust!

Girls Run the World

Not so fast, dude. Your cousin Abby (Melissa Ordway) is still there. Yes, she’s also a Newman. But she grew up much more connected to the Abbotts through her mom, Ashley (Eileen Davidson).

Victor barely remembers Abby exists until it’s time to pop up and make a grand gesture — like planning Abby’s wedding WITHOUT LETTING THE BRIDE AND GROOM IN ON ANY OF THE DETAILS.

What if Jack were to offer the Abbot empire to Abby? Considering that her son, Dominic, is also a Chancellor, she’s the perfect person to run Abbott-Chancellor…right out from under her father’s nose, which would make the victory doubly sweet. At this point, we don’t know who we want to be humbled more, Victor or Kyle.
