Here’s Why Phyllis Won’t Forgive Sharon Even Though She Didn’t Kill Heather On Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Phyllis is leading a one-woman charge against Sharon. She’s furious that her friends and even family aren’t really stepping up to ensure that Sharon pays for—if not actually killing Heather—at least setting up Daniel for the crime.

Phyllis’ portrayer, Michelle Stafford, recently discussed the situation with Soap Opera Digest. She rightfully pointed out that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis share a sordid history. While Sharon told Phyllis earlier this week that somebody else killed Heather (Vail Bloom), that doesn’t make everything Sharon did after that right. The fact is, Sharon was contemplating poisoning Daniel (Michael Graziedei), and when she didn’t, she ended up dumping Heather’s body and trying to set up Daniel for her murder.

“I don’t think there’s anything that Sharon could say to Phyllis to make it right,” Stafford told the outlet. “Only because of the framing, you know? Phyllis could understand [if Sharon isn’t Heather’s killer]. If it’s not Sharon, it’s not Sharon! She would understand that. But the framing [of Daniel] and the putting bloody towels in the room — ‘Oh, I wasn’t in my right mind when I did that,’ I just think Phyllis wouldn’t care, given the history between Sharon and Phyllis. [She would see it as] yet another thing that Sharon has done to her family. And you know, Phyllis is ultra, ultra-protective—a lioness when it comes to her kids.”

Sure, Sharon was supposedly drugged, but even that doesn’t mean she’s innocent in Phyllis’ eyes. It seems like despite all the advice she’s been given to the contrary that Phyllis isn’t going to let this go with Sharon. Of course, that’s not surprising, given she’s Phyllis.
