Here’s Why Jason Thompson Is Excited Chelsea Cheated On Billy On Young and the Restless

Jason Thompson is enjoying this storyline.

Billy finally got the truth from Chelsea about her cheating with Adam on The Young and the Restless. Actor Jason Thompson is pretty excited about how the whole thing plays out in the coming weeks. Here’s why.

Exciting Work

Thompson recently spoke about the storyline with Soap Opera Digest. There’s so much happening between Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) cheating with Adam (Mark Grossman) and Victor (Eric Braeden — who surprised fans recently) trying to take over Abbott-Chancellor. Plus, Billy recently had it out with Lily (Christel Khalil). He’s had a lot of screen time with so many front burner storylines playing out.

He explained why he was enjoying all that Billy has going on at the moment. “It’s so layered,” he praises, “and there’s so many other things going on [for Billy], too, that you’ve got to kind of manage it all, which is great. You have to show up at the office just after having a conversation with Chelsea and then you have Victor coming in with a smile on his face knowing that he’s coming after you, and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, my life is just blowing up,'” the actor said.

As for how everything for Billy, both personally and professionally, with Abbott-Chancellor, is playing out, Thompson is excited to play it. “It’s all fun, and I’m looking forward to all of it. There’s a lot of moving parts here. It’s an infidelity, and maybe it’s understandable because of the certain circumstances, but it’s Adam, and he’s got this vision for [Abbott-Chancellor], and it needs attention, so there’s many things to take stock of and try and do the right thing. And what is Billy’s bandwidth to do all of that is a whole other question. I don’t know exactly how it’s going to all pan out in the coming months, but I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
