Here’s Who Turns in Kyle on Young and Restless After October 11

Kyle thinks he’s in the clear on The Young and the Restless. Sure, Jack knows that his son stole confidential corporate information, passed it on to Victor, got a promotion for it, and smirked about it to his dad when called out. But Kyle figures he’s untouchable. What is Jack going to turn in his precious baby boy? He doesn’t have the guts! But is he overlooking someone else who can…and might?

Tell Me a Story

Jack (Peter Bergman) filled Claire (Hayley Erin) in on his history with Victor (Eric Braeden) on the October 11 episode as well as Victor’s habit of using anyone, anytime, in any way…and then discarding them as soon as they were no longer useful to him.

Jack gave Claire something to think about regarding her up to now loving Grandpa. But he also gave Claire something to think about Kyle (Michael Mealor), too.

For Your Own Good

Claire is falling in love with Kyle. Which means she wants what’s best for him. And for Harrison (Redding Munsell).

Claire now knows that Victor may not be what’s best for Kyle. Kyle doesn’t see it. But Claire does. Claire knows what it’s like to be under the sway of someone who claims to care about you — but is really only using you for their own means. Claire grew up with Jordan (Colleen Zenk). And look how that worked out. Claire doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Kyle.

Short Term Good

Kyle assumes Jack and Diane (Susan Walters) would never turn him in for his actual, honest-to-goodness crime. But what if Claire does the honors? She wants to save Kyle from himself — the way no one ever did for her.

Victor will be furious. But Claire will tell herself she is choosing the man she loves ahead of her newfound family. Kyle will be furious, too. But she’ll make him see she did it for him. For them.
