On the Tuesday, March 19, episode of The Young and the Restless, Jordan took poison, and it looked as if she was breathing her last breath. Of course, evil rarely departs that quickly in daytime. That’s why the Wednesday, March 20 episode featured Jordan in Claire’s dream, reminding her niece that she couldn’t be stopped.
The Demise of Aunt Jordan?
It wasn’t clear if Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Claire (Hayley Erin), and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) got help for Jordan (Colleen Zenk). Wednesday’s episode started with the women back at the ranch looking shell-shocked after their ordeal in the basement with Jordan. Of course, nobody actually spelled out what happened.
As the episode of Claire’s dream continued, she confronted Jordan in the jazz lounge. What Jordan said to Claire foreshadowed what happened to Aunt Jordan. She stood up to her hate-filled aunt, but Jordan warned her the whole thing was all a dream.
“Your life is small, and it’s petty. It’s filled with bitterness and anger. Where is the joy?” Claire wondered. She went on to tell her aunt she’d wasted her life and it was too late. Jordan replied, “Oh, but my darling, you’re forgetting one thing. I’m your Aunt Jordan, and I am unstoppable.” She reminded Claire of all her recent misdeeds. “I’m not finished. There’s a lot more to burn down.”
Claire told her aunt that nothing she said mattered anymore. She said, “Did you hear anything I just said? I said, ‘You can’t hurt me anymore,’ so just go to hell.”
Does that mean Aunt Jordan is really in hell? Something tells us she may not be dead. Given how carefully Nikki, Victoria, and Claire danced around revealing what choice they ultimately made, we suspect Jordan is still alive. At the very least, expect to see Claire wrestle with Jordan in her own mind as the days and weeks go on.
“I wonder how long it’s going to be before we can rest easy again,” Victoria said as she comforted Claire. How long, indeed?
What do you think? Is Jordan really gone, or will she be back to haunt Claire and the Newmans? Let us know in the comments below.
