Here’s Sally’s Unexpected Reaction To Adam’s Cheating On Young and the Restless

With the way Chelsea and Adam look guilty on The Young and the Restless, it’s only a matter of time before their secret is out. Billy, likely, won’t react well to being cheated on. Billy needs to be the most important person in the room just like Chelsea. It’s one of the reasons they’re together. And one of the main reasons we don’t expect them to survive this. Sall is a different story, though. Here is how we expect her to react to the news — and it’s a shocker.

Been There, Done That

On the July 18 episode of Y&R, Sally (Courtney Hope — who experienced this surprising mishap) visited Adam (Mark Grossman) at Newman Media. She reminded him of how he broke up with her there, but she also reminisced about the good times they had. These two started kissing and enjoying each other.

Sure, Sally will be upset when she finds out that Adam cheated. Nobody likes their partner cheating with an ex. But, after she’s had some time to think about it, Sally will recall that she and Adam did the exact same thing — when she was technically with Nick (Joshua Morrow — who recently explained something big).

Sally and Adam slept together to get closure to their relationship so Sally could move on with Nick. That makes exactly as much sense as Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) sleeping together because they were worried about Connor (Judah Mackey). If Sally and Nick were able to move on from that, then Sally and Adam should be able to move on from this. It’s Genoa City logic.

Can’t Live With You, Can’t Live Without You

Sally just recalled the time Adam broke up with her and broke her heart. She’s tried living without Adam. She’s tried trying to forget him by dating his brother. It didn’t work. She didn’t like it.

For better or for worse, Sally has realized that Adam is the love of her life. So why break up with him over a mistake identical to the one she once made — which led to the conception of their lost baby girl, Ava Hope — when she could be the bigger person, forgive him, and move on?

Besides, no matter how much she denies it, Chelsea would be delighted if her sleeping with Adam broke up him and Sally. That would leave Adam free to focus exclusively on her…er, Connor. And if Sally keeps that from happening, it will drive Chelsea nuts. An even better reason to let bygones be bygones. Though a more petty one.
