Fans of Adam and Sally, or “Ally” were thrilled when they got back together not too long ago on The Young and the Restless. However, their happiness was short-lived because Adam cheated with Chelsea while they dealt with Connor’s OCD. Of course, “Chadam” fans are pretty pleased with the way the storyline is going. Here’s how fans really feel about the situation.
‘Ally Destruction’
Viewers haven’t been shy about this love quadrangle developing between Sally (Courtney Hope), Adam (Mark Grossman), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and Billy (Jason Thompson) over the past several weeks. On Reddit, one fan posted, “We literally had to go back and forth with these two for years to the point of exhaustion all for him to cheat?!? Make it make sense somebody.”

Others agreed. At least one was sad to see Adam turn back to his old ways. “They ruined his storyline. He was finally becoming a better person, which I liked,” the poster replied. Fans had such high hopes for the couple, envisioning this generation’s new supercouple. “I was hoping Adam and Sally would become the new Victor and Nikki only Sally would be a stronger partner because, sorry, the stripper acts smart, but Victor can still manipulate her.”
Some viewers felt pragmatic about it, though, pointing out that Sally learned a life lesson. “I think that the moral of the story is that Adam is hot and (sometimes) fun, but ultimately the most unreliable dude you will ever encounter and should be avoided, in the romantic sense at least.”

A few people who chimed in were buttering their popcorn in anticipation of what might develop between Adam and Chelsea in the coming weeks, though. “The interesting extra nugget IMO here is that she got him to admit he had feelings of love for Chelsea that night, though caught up in the moment and alcohol etc., she made him say it out loud. Something Chelsea may not even be aware of, so this is the delicious little extra butter on the soap popcorn. 🍿🍿”

At least one fan lamented a lost dream of these two darker characters coming into their own together. “Wish they would have teamed them up as fellow schemers (but not over-the-top crazy illegal stuff)…Sally needs some of her sass and cattiness back, and Adam has always been great at plotting and snark. They could have been as fun as old-school Scotty [Kin Shriner] and Heather [then Robin Mattson; now Alley Mills] on General Hospital. Would have been sweet to see them planning and pulling the strings on plots against Victor [Eric Braeden] and Kyle [Michael Mealor].”
