Victoria is so overwhelmed by discovering her long-lost daughter on The Young and the Restless that she’s completely forgotten another of her children. It’s hard to blame Victoria, what with her and Cole recently rescuing Claire from a bizarre situation after Jordan kidnapped her.
No, we don’t mean Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) knows where those two kids are. They are at boarding school (one that doesn’t offer a Spring Break, it would seem). Victoria knows where Johnny and Katie are in the same way that her brother, Nicholas (Joshua Morrow), knows where his missing son, Christian, is. (In his room. Christian is forever in his room. Maybe he’s under house arrest for a crime we haven’t been informed of.)
Victoria keeps gushing about how she can’t wait to introduce Johnny and Katie to their new big sister, Claire (Hayley Erin). But what about introducing Claire to her other little brother?
We’re talking, of course, about Victoria’s oldest son, Reed (last played by Tristan Lake LeBeau). Victoria’s son with JT (Thad Luckinbill) spent most of his life outside of Genoa City, either residing with his father and stepmother, Mackenzie, in Washington DC, or in boarding school, when all the adults in his life had other things going on. So he and Victoria weren’t exactly close.
It’s probably that Victoria can only handle one messed-up kid at a time. Claire was stolen at birth, raised to believe that she was unwanted and that the only way she could please her aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) was by agreeing to murder her biological family. Then, Claire was suspected of being in on Harrison’s (Redding Munsell, who recently took over the role) kidnapping. And she was kidnapped herself — again. So, Victoria has her hands full.
Does she really also need to be dealing with a son who, driving home during a storm, struck his own grandmother, putting Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) in the hospital?
Nikki has too much on her plate these days to deal with Reed. Even Victor is obsessed with Claire…and that Jordan woman. No one has any time for Victoria’s oldest son. We’re sure that won’t come back to haunt them in any way, either.
