Heather’s Real Killer on The Young and the Restless September 26

It’s not as cut and dried as it looks.

 Comments

Based on the September 26 episode of The Young and the Restless, we are really, really supposed to think that Sharon killed Heather—even if she claims not to remember doing so. But we have a few other theories for a last-minute fake-out.

It’s All in Your Head

Sharon (Sharon Case) hasn’t exactly been in her right mind lately. We’ve been seeing the world through her point of view—i.e. talking to Cameron (Linden Ashby), who is, to quote Hamilton, “Uh, do whatever you want. I’m super dead!”

So if Cameron isn’t really there and yet we see Sharon talking to him, what evidence do we have that the murder of Heather (Vail Bloom—is she out?) and the disposal of her body also isn’t just happening in Sharon’s mentally ill imagination? Come Monday, we may see Heather waltzing home, none the worse for wear, and won’t we feel like we’ve been played?

Time Loss

Sharon passed out and doesn’t recall killing Heather. That means some time must have gone by between her losing consciousness and waking up to find an unresponsive Heather. Surely, someone else could have popped in during that time? Our first candidate is Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Sharon’s obvious mental illness has been the talk of Nick (Joshua Morrow), Mariah (Camryn Grimes), and Faith (Reylynn Caster).

Yet Phyllis’ obvious insane rantings, ravings, and foaming at the mouth have been accepted with a shrug and, “Oh, that’s just Phyllis,” from her family and friends. The way Phyllis was going on and on about protecting her children, would you have a hard time believing that she walked in, spied on the passed-out Sharon, and saw the perfect opportunity to protect Daniel and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Braint) from the evil Sharon…by framing her for killing Heather?

Chip Off the Old Crazy

And then there’s Lucy. She’s not exactly brimming with mental health, either. She was against her mom taking her to Portugal. She was angry at her for making Lucy do community service, keeping her from getting her driver’s license and telling her to stay away from Faith.

What if Lucy came home and got into a fight with her mom? Which led to Lucy killing Heather. She ran away and let Sharon take the blame. Sure does sound like something the granddaughter of Phyllis and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) would do.
