Hayley Erin Returns to Y&R But Not as Abby Newman

Hayley Erin, who played Abby on Young and the Restless from 2008 to 2010, is returning to the soap. However, this time Erin will be in a whole new role.

Soap Opera Digest reported that the soap veteran will be Claire Grace, who will be working at Newman Media.

Y&R isn’t Erin’s only soap experience. After leaving Genoa City, she joined the cast of General Hospital as Kiki Jerome, the doomed daughter of Ava (Maura West, who once played Diane on Y&R). Kiki was killed off by the evil Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom). Erin walked away with one heck of a consolation prize, winning the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series in 2019.

Along with her daytime roles, Erin has appeared on Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, Two and a Half Men, and Modern Family.

The actress’s return to Genoa City has especially thrilled castmate Camryn Grimes, who tweeted, “Did I manifest this?! Who knows! But magic can’t be denied, and having @HayleyErin join us is a dream come true. We get a talented cast member AND my friend back stateside?? Please and thank you! Congrats, my love.” Erin replied to Grimes by saying, “I love you.”
