Diane was worried about how Harrison might react to Kyle dating Claire on the January 10 episode of The Young and the Restless. After all, as she pointed out, Claire is the first woman Kyle has dated since breaking up with Harrison’s mother. Um…not exactly. And if we know it, then Harrison. must know it, too.
Forgotten (Wo)Man
We know that Kyle (Michael Mealor) really, really, really likes to pretend that Summer (Allison Lanier) has always been Harrison’s (Redding Munsell) mother. But even Summer admitted at Heather’s (Vail Bloom) memorial service that she became Harrison’s mother the same way Heather became Lucy’s (Lily Brooks O’Braint)… “under complicated circumstances.”
We believe that Summer loves Harrison. And we believe that Harrison loves Summer. But, unlike Kyle, we don’t believe that Harrison has completely forgotten Tara. You know…his real mother?

Through the Years
Harrison lived the first four years of his life with Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) as his mother and Ashland as his father. He loved them both. Then he suddenly got a “Daddy” in Kyle, and then he lost his “Father” Ashland, followed by his Mommy, Tara, to jail, and got a new mommy in Summer. Those are pretty traumatic events. He’s not an infant. He’ll remember it all.
Merry-Go-Round
We’ve always suspected that Harrison was such an angel, and so accepting of his new Daddy Kyle and Mommy Summer because the poor kid was terrified he’d lose them, too, like he lost Ashland and Tara. He resolved to be a good boy so they wouldn’t abandon him.
But Kyle introducing Harrison to Claire (Hayley Erin) could be the last straw. We can imagine him losing it and throwing the mother of all tantrums, raging that he was good and did everything they said, and now he has to have ANOTHER new Mommy? No! No, no, no, no, no. No more. He’s had enough.
Harrison wants to go home! That means he goes back to New York, to his real mom and his real life, and he is totally over all this nonsense. No more Mr. Nice Kid until Harrison gets his way! What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
