Every year, The Young and the Restless cast and crew gather for a fun Christmas party at the holidays. We get a glimpse into some of their shenanigans through social media posts. Paxton Mishkind shared a great post about the party, and the way he showed up at the event was especially interesting.

Two Places At One Time

Mishkind took to Instagram to share a video of the Y&R party this year set to the song “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses. Alongside it, the teen wrote, “When you have to miss the [The Young and the Restless] Holiday party because you have finals and your amazing daytime tv family makes you feel included ♥️🎄so grateful for you guys! Bah humbug finals #yr #cbsdaytime #holidayparty #teenactor #younghollywood #setfamily #finals #youngandrestless”

The video featured a photo of Mishkind from the shoulders up, cut out, and glued to a stick. Throughout the party, Judah Mackey (Connor), Redding Munsell (Harrison), and Sienna Mercuri (Katie) held the cutout as they stood in front of a sparkly red curtain with a microphone.

In another scene, Mishkind’s stand-in was with Amelia Heinle (Victoria) and Mercuri at a table. A crew member got in on the fun, filming a short clip with Mishkind. Then, Mishkind even got to sing some karaoke. The song? “I Wanna Be Around.” A little later, Jason Thompson (Billy) held him in a pose with Mercuri.

Mackey, who plays his half-brother on the soap, replied, “We missed you, bro! Go slay those finals 👊”

What a cute way to ensure Mishkind got at least a little taste of being at the annual Y&R affair. It looks like it may have helped him feel a little less sad about missing out while he took some finals. Of course, schoolwork needs to come first.
