The Young and the Restless has been hinting at a Sharon and Nick reunion for some time. The trip to France was a turning point for the exes, who shared an intimate moment. So will fans get their wish of a Shick reunion? Joshua Morrow reveals what’s next for the couple.
Will Sharon and Nick Reunite?
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick have grown closer in the past year. Nick helped Sharon with her string of traumatic ordeals, and then she accompanied him to France for moral support. The trip to France was filled with unexpected events. Nick was framed for Damian’s (Jermaine Rivers) murder, resulting in him and Sharon being locked up.
Nick was injured while trying to escape, but thanks to Sharon, Sally (Courtney Hope), and Billy (Jason Thompson) he was saved. Once Nick got back to the train, Sharon tended to Nick and the two ended up kissing.
Sharon and Nick’s kiss sparked excitement from Shick fans who believe they’re headed for a reunion. However, Morrow warns that fans shouldn’t get their hopes up.
Joshua Morrow on ‘Shick’ Reuniting
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Morrow hints it’s still a long road before Shick follows their kiss.
“They have to talk about it later and sort of assess where things are with them,” Morrow explained. “It’s not to the place that particular fan base is screaming for yet, but it could happen…we’ll see.”
Morrow also discussed Shick’s strong connection and their previous attempts at reconciliation. The actor says these are factors in their next reunion.
“They’ve been down this path, and if it goes the way it sort of looks like it’s going, I think they want to make sure that everybody’s in the right headspace and they’re comfortable and ready. So, I don’t think it’s anything that’s going to be rushed, but who knows?”
