Earlier this week, The Young and the Restless favorite Eric Braeden believed his home might become a victim of the deadly and damaging fires raging through parts of California.
Eric Braeden: Through The Worst
He first tweeted a pic of himself watering down the outside of his property as a safety precaution, hoping he would not have to evacuate.
But, evacuate he did by Wednesday when it became apparent he and his family might not be safe if they stayed. He tweeted that he left with a sad feeling, not knowing if in a few days the house would still be standing.
After all, his YR co-star Tracey Bregman (Lauren) lost her home in last year’s fires and other soap stars, like General Hospital’s beloved Kimberly McCullough had to leave her Ojai home with her infant son.
Countless other California residents have been displaced by these wildfires over the last few years, as the effects of climate change ravage this immensely populated state.
But, the good news is Braeden is now back in his home and safe, after the worst that could have affected his location seems to be over.
He tweeted a pic on Halloween of his grandchildren happy to be in their grandfather’s house, dressed up and ready to trick-or-treat.
Soap Hub wishes all California residents and our beloved soap stars nothing but safety during this dangerous and difficult time of year.

Have evacuated our home! Kind of sad, because we don’t know if it’ll be around in a few days! Love you all! Be safe!
