The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden has shared a heartbreaking look at the state of his home after the recent wildfires in California. Braeden posted a video before the loss as the fire approached his home. Now, the view is entirely different, and Y&R fans flooded his post with love and support.
California Wildfire Destroyed Star’s Home
Recently, Braeden shared a new video on his Instagram page. He wrote in the caption, “After the fire.”
The video took viewers on a walk through Braeden’s property. Some stone walls still stood, and there were even flower blossoms on some plants that looked pink and healthy. The ADT security system sign by the home’s front gate appeared untouched as well.
Sadly, most of the property is in ruins. Alongside the stone path and untouched potted plants were piles of ruins. A couple of other buildings, seemingly still on Braeden’s property, still stood. However, the Y&R star’s video showed that there is little from his main home that can be recovered.
The video also included a glimpse of the pool area, where Braden had filmed before the loss of his home.
On January 8, the actor shared a video on his Instagram page that he filmed as he prepared to evacuate his home. “Saying good bye,” he wrote in the caption.
In addition to the video showing his home in ruins, Braeden posted several “before” photos of his home on Instagram on January 26. The pictures highlighted several stunning areas of how his home looked before it was destroyed.
Several thousand comments were left on the collection of recent posts as fans saw what Braden had and lost.
“I’m so sorry Mr. Braeden. My heart breaks for you, and the countless others who’ve lost everything. Praying for everyone,” read one comment.
“Oh Eric and family. My heart goes out to you. I’m surprised to see some living plants,” shared another fan.
“Wow. Such devastation. From the ashes rise new beginnings,” someone else wrote.
