Looks like Kyle’s baby drama story on The Young and the Restless is going to heat up! Elizabeth Leiner has joined the cast of the show as Tara Locke, whom Theo recently referred to as the married woman Kyle had had an affair with in the Hamptons that resulted in a child.
Soap Opera Digest reports that Leiner will make her YR debut on Monday, March 1. Earlier this month, Tyler Johnson reprised Theo long enough to drop a bomb on Kyle (Michael Mealor) — that he was the father of Tara’s baby. He shared this information with Sally (Courtney Hope), so now the fiery redhead has leverage against Kyle and Summer (Hunter King).
Leiner’s credits include the movies Suburban Swinger Club, Nanny Killer, and Memories of My Father. Her TV appearances include playing parts on Drop Dead Diva and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
Kyle has kept secret his relationship with Tara. Since his return to Genoa City a few years ago, he romanced Summer (Hunter King), whom he married, but Kyle was motivated to make that commitment, hoping Summer would donate a kidney to his girlfriend Lola (Sasha Calle).
Later, Kyle and Summer split so that he could wed Lola. Alas, their marriage lasted not all that long in the grand scheme of things. They divorced and then, Kyle went back to Summer (Hunter King). Will Kyle having a child affect his long-term relationship with Summer? Stay tuned to find out!
Next month, The Young and the Restless will celebrate its 48th anniversary. Created by the late William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, the series debuted on March 23, 1973, on CBS as a half-hour program. It expanded to an hour in length in 1980. The show’s current executive producer is Tony Marino. Josh Griffith is co-executive producer/head writer. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
