For months now, Sharon has been on a slow spiral down on The Young and the Restless. She stopped taking her medication, and then she started hallucinating dead Cameron. Sharon’s family knows she’s not doing well, but they don’t know the extent of her issues. However, Sharon’s most recent move with Daniel and Heather makes us wonder if this storyline will take an incredibly dark turn.

Down, Down, Down

After being agitated when Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) showed up to see Faith (Reylynn Caster), she left and went to Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei). Cameron (Linden Ashby) was on hand to give his (Sharon’s?) approval for the audacious move.

Daniel and Heather (Vail Bloom) assured Sharon that Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) was being punished. However, Sharon felt their punishments were only “a start.” he brought up Daniel’s drinking, which led to Cassie’s (Camryn Grimes) death. All the while, Cameron urged Sharon on.

Sharon fully blamed both parents for allowing Lucy to slip out while she was grounded. Heather tried to talk sense into Sharon, asking her to stop bringing up Daniel’s mistake as a 16-year-old, which made Sharon even more agitated. After more back and forth, Sharon demanded that they keep Lucy away from Faith from now on.

Concern

After Sharon’s unhinged yelling, both Heather and Daniel realized they needed to stay out of Sharon’s way. They even considered leaving for Portugal. The only problem is Sharon’s hallucination of Cameron is cheering her on. He stoked Sharon’s anger at Heather, trying to question her.

Of course, both families ending up at Society for dinner didn’t help. Sharon’s reaction was over the top, and she, Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Faith left, but will that really be enough?

We suspect this could be foreshadowing an extremely dark turn for Sharon. Could she be headed towards killing Daniel, Heather, and possibly even Lucy? It’s not looking great for them or Sharon. What do you think will happen? Will Sharon get help before she goes too far with Daniel’s family?
