Diane and Jack’s Ultimate Plan On Young and the Restless October 24

Pity poor Diane on The Young and the Restless. All she did was point out to her husband that their adult son had committed a crime against their family company. She thought maybe Kyle should suffer the consequences for that when Jack called Diane a gold-digger and a horrible mother (both potentially true, but not about this) and, next thing you know, tossed her from the Jabot mansion. Victor watched. And smirked. and got a great idea. But what if Diane and Jack are the ones with the truly good plan? Especially after the October 24 episode when Jack insisted they’d get an annulment and tried to convince Traci their breakup was real.

Seeing What You Want To See

Victor’s (Eric Braeden) plan to finally prove to Jack (Peter Bergman) that Victor is the smarter man — and the better-looking man, and better in bed, especially when it comes to the women they’ve shared — involved, first, luring Kyle (Michael Mealor) to the dark side. Which wasn’t hard. Because Kyle is easy to lure. And then using Kyle’s actions as a wedge between Jack and Diane (Susan Walters), followed by Victor convincing Diane to spill the remaining Jabot secrets Kyle has pilfered yet.

It all seems to be going according to plan. That is actually what Victor sees happening to the Abbotts. But is that because it’s what Victor wants to see?

Using Your Own Strength Against You

But what if Diane and Jack figured it out weeks ago? After all, they know Kyle isn’t smart enough to plot a corporate take-over alone, even with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) as the driving force.

So they had to know someone else was pulling Kyle’s strings. Victor was the obvious culprit. He’s done it before. And what if, in response, Diane and Jack are faking their public breakup? Especially in public. Where Victor just, oh, so coincidentally, could see them? Now, who’s the smartest, best-looking — and better in bed? Ask Diane.
