The drama heats up on The Young and the Restless as the clock counts down to midnight in Genoa City. Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian sat down with Soap Hub to discuss the situation between Danny and Cricket as they try to ring in the New Year together.

New Year’s in Genoa City starts on December 30, 2024, and it will end on January 2, 2025. Both Damian and Bell will be on Y&R on December 30 and January 2. As the clock races to midnight on 2024, Cricket anxiously awaits Danny’s return to Genoa City. “Cricket leaves [the tour] a couple of days early to go see Nina [Tricia Cast] on her way home, and we meet in Genoa City,” Bell explains.
Unfortunately for the reunited supercouple, Danny experiences some difficulty getting back to town in time. Damian revealed that Danny is trying hard to make it home in time to ring in 2025 with Cricket. “There’s weather issues, there’s the concerts, and trying to get out of Canada. Just don’t lose faith,” the actor said.
Bell explained that Christine “gets all dressed up, and so it would be horrible if you’re there all dressed up and no [Danny]. Who are you going to hang out with?” Sure, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) may be around, but we can’t really see Cricket being happy to have her as a substitute on the big night.
The good news is that Danny’s tour is going great. “It’s amazing because…. The fact is that she never went with me on tour, but we did [this time].”
Bell noted that Christine has learned a lot while on tour with Danny. She literally left her whole life to join him on the road, which was a big change for the lawyer. Cricket has learned to “just relax and to know that maybe like Danny’s set list is set, but things come up, and you have to just change. So maybe she’s become a little more spontaneous,” the actress noted. “She’s probably shopped differently for the cooler clothes she’s wearing really cool rock and roll clothes.”
