On the March 17 episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis first burst in on Billy and Sally then, the minute Sally took off, proceeded to get hysterical and lay a guilt trip on Billy about how the only thing that kept her alive while kidnapped with Sharon was the idea of coming to work at Abbott Communications. (Kids? What kids? Oh, yeah, Phyllis has kids who she loves more than life itself. She thought about them, too.) When Billy seemed less than thrilled at the prospect of getting back into the trenches with Phyllis, she only grew more crazed. Could Sally have a new scapegoat in her sights?
What Happened on Young and the Restless
Whenever Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) doesn’t get her way, she never looks inward and wonders what she may have done to earn the rejection. No, instead, Phyllis always looks outward, and wonders who is plotting against her now? After all, Billy (Jason Thompson) adores Phyllis. He would never turn down the chance to work with her.
He knows it’s the only way he could ever be a success. So if Billy isn’t turning cartwheels of enthusiasm at the thought of Phyllis coming to work with – OK, for him; they’ll discuss exact titles later – it must be because someone has poisoned his mind against her. And that someone must be… Sally (Courtney Hope)!

Target Sighted
The last time Phyllis resented a new woman entering the life of a man Phyllis believes should be hers forever, it was Diane (Susan Walters) with Jack (Peter Bergman). Phyllis reacted in a totally reasonable way: She faked her death and framed Diane for it. So, really, anything she does to Sally less than that should be considered Phyllis playing nice.
Just Desserts
Some might say that being targeted by Phyllis is no less than what Sally deserves after what she pulled back in Los Angeles. So even if Phyllis says she forgives Billy for moving on with his life without her, can we be sure Phyllis won’t be teaching Sally a little lesson – just to be safe?
