Colleen Zenk has ended her run as Jordan on The Young and the Restless. Last week, the villain made a dramatic exit, which left everyone stunned.

Different Route For Jordan’s Exit

Zenk is a soap opera icon, famous for her role as Barbara on As the World Turns. Thirteen years after the show’s cancellation, she made her soap opera comeback as Jordan on Y&R.

Fans were ecstatic to see Zenk back onscreen, and the actress shined in her new role. Jordan quickly became Genoa City’s newest villain as she terrorized the Newmans and her niece, Claire (Hayley Erin).

Although Jordan was eventually captured and sent to prison, she made her grand escape. With the help of her new partner, Ian (Ray Wise), they began wreaking havoc on Genoa City. The duo was responsible for Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder, drugging and kidnapping Sharon (Sharon Case), and running Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) off the road.

While Jordan and Ian’s partnership was a delight, unfortunately, their crimes caught up with them. During a confrontation with Claire and the Newmans, Jordan drank poisoned tea, choosing death over returning to prison.

Jordan’s death shocked fans, who can’t believe this is the end for the notorious bad girl. But nobody was more upset by Jordan’s demise than Zenk.

”I’m sad Jordan went away so quickly,” Zenk told TV Insider. “I thought that Ian and Jordan would go out like Bonnie and Clyde together.”

Although her role ended too soon, Zenk is grateful for her time at Y&R. The actress praised the cast and crew for making her feel welcome and the fans for their support. Thanks to the show, Zenk also regained self-confidence.

”My biggest takeaway is I can still work this medium,” she said. “I can still do this. And for my age with no work, I look pretty good on camera, not too bad. For a 72-year-old woman to be given this kind of opportunity, I’d jump in again.”
