Amelia Heinle is celebrating 20 years as Victoria on The Young and the Restless. The actress made her debut on March 21, 2005, and has established herself as one of the show’s leading ladies. To honor her anniversary, Heinle’s co-stars offered their congratulations.
20 Years As Victoria
Heinle was already a soap star thanks to her roles on Loving and All My Children. But in 2005, she received an offer to play an iconic Y&R role.
The actress had big shoes to fill taking over from Heather Tom. However, Heinle won over the audience with her performance.
Whether it’s romance, family, or business drama; Victoria is usually front and center in the storyline. While Victoria has made many enemies on-screen, Heinle has nothing but love from her co-stars.
For her 20th anniversary, the Y&R Insider YouTube channel posted a tribute to the actress. The video showed a brief clip of Heinle’s debut followed by congratulatory messages from the Y&R cast.
”Happy 20th anniversary to my gorgeous inside and out sister, Amelia,” Melissa Ordway (Abby) cheerfully replied.
Melody Thomas Scott, who plays Nikki, had a special message for her on-screen daughter. “Congratulations, my angel. I am so honored to be able to be your mama all these 20 years. It’s such a joy when I look at my script and see I’m going to be working with you because you’re just so special to me.” Scott went on to explain about her first meeting with Heinle before concluding her message with, “You will always be my angel and you will always be my daughter. I would do anything in the world for you and I think everyone else here would, too. I love you.”
Heinle’s on-screen father Eric Braeden (Victor) also chimed in with his congratulations. “Sweet Amelia. You have been here for 20 years. Wow! Absolutely unimaginable. But you know something, you make coming to work a pleasure because you’re one of the sweetest people I know. It’s a joy to work with you, we have a lot of laughs, you have a great sense of humor. I think you’re going to stay for a while, you know, maybe another 20 years.”
